Workshop description

The workshop offers a theoretical background on the dynamics of the human trafficking phenomenon, and discusses the interventions process for the protection of human trafficking victims while introducing concepts from the field of psychotraumatology, to foster a deeper understanding of the traumatic existence of the human trafficking survivor.

Workshop objectives:

• To acquaint participants with an individualized intervention approach in working with victims of trafficking in persons, based on needs assessment and the active involvement of the beneficiary in their own assistance programme (Case Management).
• To normalize the perception of professionals on working with clients/ beneficiaries described as multi-stress.

Elements of content:

• The provision of theoretical information on: the trafficking in persons phenomenon in Romania and at EU level – definition, vulnerability factors, dynamics, presenting Case Management as working model and of the multidisciplinary team of professionals; few elements of psychotraumatology and the involved psychological mechanisms.
• Viewing video materials created in the frame of trafficking in persons prevention campaigns (e.g. ‘’Hopes for Sale’’, materials from The NO Project, etc.), discussions and questions session.
• The psychological assistance and role of the psychotherapist in the reintegration of trafficking victims.
• Presenting case studies and/ or facilitating role play simulations allowing participants to exercise establishing first secure contact with a trafficking victim and initial assistance needs assessment.

• Psychotherapist (Specialist Practitioner level) in Experiential Unification Psychotherapy focused on Adults – Children – Couples – Families;
• Assistant trainer, the SPER Institute;
• Psychotherapist (Autonomous Practitioner level) in Systemic Couples and Families approach (member of ICF, Iași, affiliated to EFTA);
• Collaborating Psychotherapist of ADPARE (the Association for the Development of Alternative Practices of Reintegration and Education).

Descrierea workshopului

Acest workshop ofera repere teoretice si practica atât cu privire la dinamica fenomenului traficului de persoane, protecția și asistarea victimelor, cât și a unor concepte de psihotraumatologie care facilitează înțelegerea existenței traumatice a supraviețuitoarei/ supraviețuitorului traficului de persoane.

Obiectivele workshopului:

• Familiarizarea participanților cu o alternativă individualizată de lucru în asistarea victimelor traficului de persoane, pornind de la evaluarea nevoilor și implicând activ beneficiarul în programul de asistență (Managementul de caz).
• Normalizarea percepției profesionistilor asupra lucrului cu categoriile de beneficiari/ cienți „multistress”.

 

Elemente de conținut:

• Furnizarea unor repere teoretice privind: fenomenul traficului de persoane în România și UE, definiție, factorii de vulnerabilitate; dinamica; prezentarea Managementului de caz ca metodă de lucru și a echipei multidisciplinare de profesionisti; cateva elemente de psihotraumatologie și mecanismele psihologice implicate.
• Vizionarea unor materiale video realizate în cadrul unor campanii de prevenire a traficului de persoane (filmul de prevenire „Speranțe la Vânzare”, materiale din The NO Project, etc.), sesiune de discuții și întrebări.
• Asistența psihologică pentru victimele traficului de persoane și rolul psihoterapeutului în intervenția pentru reintegrare.
• Prezentarea unor studii de caz și/ sau jocuri de rol pornind de la acestea, în care participanții realizează stabilirea contactului cu o persoană traficată ori evaluarea inițială a nevoilor de asistență.

Alexandra Mitroi este psihoterapeut practicant specialist în Psihoterapia Experiențială și a Unificării, centrată pe Adult-Copil-Cuplu – Familie; Asistent formator în cadrul Institutilui SPER; Psihoterapeut practicant autonom în Psihoterapia Sistemică a Cuplului și a Familiei (membru ICF, Iași, afiliat EFTA); Psihoterapeut colaborator al ADPARE (Asociatia pentru Dezvoltarea Practicilor Alternative de Reintegrare si Educatie).
